Story about 5 cats

Author: breeder

Right now, there are five cats living at my house. Clover was my first cat. A woman was advertising through email that her cat had kittens, and she needed to find good homes for them. As I’d wanted a cat for years, I emailed the woman back. She responded with a picture of the gray tiger kitten, as I’d requested, and also in the picture was the kitten’s charcoal gray brother. I immediately fell in love.

My boyfriend and I went to this woman’s house several days later and came home with both cats. The boy, I immediately named Flannel. He’s soft, fat, lazy and likes to “talk”- he’s constantly meowing at me.

The timid gray tiger took a few days to name. She was terrified of everything at first, but within a week, she was purring as she approached me. I named her Clover.

Reba came to us from my now mother-in-law. Her second cat didn’t take to Reba at all, and so we took Reba in on a trial basis. She and Flannel took to each other right away. Reba is the bitey one. She likes attention, but only on her terms. One more pet than she’s looking for and CHOMP! She’ll bite down hard.

For the time being, I have two foster cats for the all-cats shelter at which I volunteer. I got these two tuxedo cats at 3 weeks of age. They were so tiny, their itty bitty paws were smaller than a postage stamp! Indy was the adventurous one. As soon as we got home, he was into everything, playing with my son’s toys, chomping on the stand to my keyboard and generally causing a ruckus.

The other kitten was terrified and still a little bit feral, it took a bit longer to draw that one out of its shell. We thought it was a girl at first and named her Violet, because she was so shy. But after about a week it became apparent that Violet was a little boy! Oops! Violet was renamed Piglet.

Indy is a nurser- he likes to sit on my shoulder and nurse on my earlobe, of all places. He’s very, very fluffy- I think he’s actually 90% fur. Piglet is as skinny as a cat can be, and very laid back and relaxed. He has the tiniest squeak of a meow, even though they’re 14 weeks now. They’ll be ready to be adopted soon.

I’m really going to miss these guys, but I know I’ve spoiled them rotten and gotten them ready for all the love they’ll be sure to find at their forever home.

  • Story About Incredible Cat Chester was the greatest cat I have ever owned. Chester was a stray kitten that wandered up one day and decided we were worthy of his company. • A long and funny cat story Pookie (the cat) was left with me by a man who lived in the apartment downstairs in the duplex I live in. He found her as a kitten in the walls of the old building where he worked and took her home. An outdoor cat, she would “freak out” if she was closed into the
  • The story about the 5 cats in my life I honestly do not care for cats, but unfortunately, five of them have been dumped on me. I live in the country and city people come out here to dump their unwanted animals. These are the people who will tell their kids they found their cat/dog a good home on a farm in the country.
