I had a cat for fifteen years until he passed away last year from cancer! He was a male orange tabby we purchased from a pet store in Ewardsville, Pennsylvania . His name was Stewart he became so close with our family that we later gave him our family name and called him Mr. Stewart Williams.
I my husband said he had dignity and called him mister for short. Stewart grew up with my son and every night when my son came home from school he would sit down at his desk to do homework and Stewart would jump up on the desk like he was going to help him, he would lie at the top of the desk and bite at his pencil.
Stewart was a indoor cat but he also was a escape artist and would find his way outside my husband would grab a flashlight and spend hours late at night to find him, because he was afraid Stewart would get hurt ,cause he was de-clawed and would not be able to defend himself against other cats.
One time my husband searched for hours late at night for Stewart outside and he gave up said he would resume the search in the morning, it turned out that Stewart was not outside at all that he jumped up on the refrigerator pushed up a ceiling tile and was laying inside the ceiling all day.
Stewart used to drive my husband crazy, my husband would come home from work and cook bacon which Stewart loved he would jump up on a stool and watch my husband cook the bacon. When it was done and my husband took the first bite Stewart would make a growling noise like he was mad because he did not get the first piece. Stewart also made a funny noise when we gave him a bath, it sounded like he was saying sorry it was funny and always gave us a laugh! Well Stewarts gone now and we love him and miss him!
